Rivalry weekend for Josh Bolar

On March 2nd, sophomore Josh Bolar took an unofficial visit to Oxford.

On March 3rd, he went to Starkville.

"My trip was great," Bolar said.

At 5-foot-11 and 230 pounds, the sophomore athlete plays both defensive tackle and defensive end at Fayette County High School (GA).

What did Bolar like about the Rebels?

"Man, what can't I say about Ole Miss," Bolar said. "They've really jumped up on my list.

"I love everything about [Ole Miss]," he continued. "If I had to name a leader today, they would be it."

Bolar credits the coaching staff and campus for his newfound Rebel love.

"They're very family oriented," Bolar said. "They're all about God, but they get down to business. l love everything about it."

So, how about the following day in Starkville?

"Mississippi State was really nice," Bolar said. "The coaching staff really have a good thing going on down there.

"They're instilling a positive mindset in players and recruits," he continued. "They have a nice campus and nice facilities. Mississippi State is a great school overall, and academically, they'd help me out a lot."

While in Mississippi, Bolar received positive feedback from both coaching staffs.

"Ole Miss liked me and said they will be evaluating me in the spring and at camp if I make it dow," Bolar said of the Rebs.

"Mississippi State told me to stay in touch...and they'll be keeping an eye out for me," he said of the Bulldogs.

Bolar's next trip will come in April as Vanderbilt has invited him to its spring game.
