One player that will have a chance to make a name for himself this season is Ballard wide receiver Will Bush. The junior is one of the state's best athletes and has caught the eyes of a few programs, including Western Kentucky and Cincinnati.
"Recruiting is going alright," said Bush. "I talked to Western Kentucky and Cincinnati last Wednesday," said Bush.
"I've always really liked Cincinnati football. And Petrino definitely sticks out for Western Kentucky"
Bush was planning on taking a trip to Western Kentucky for Junior Day this weekend, but he had to compete at a track meet, but he's hoping to take trips.
"I don't know when, but I plan to visit both schools in the spring," he finished.
Also expected at Western Kentucky this weekend was Henry Clay's Davion Jackson. Jackson has not only been recruited by the Hilltoppers, but other schools have been showing attention.
Jackson is hoping to make some trips to a few schools that stand out for him.
"I want to check out Louisville, if I could ever get down there. I would love to visit Mississippi State and Missouri," he said. "With Louisville, I could stay close to home. And the other two are programs that I feel that I could help."
And after picking up his first scholarship offer two Fridays ago, Joe Brown was set to travel to Western Kentucky to meet with the coaches and staff, but was unable to make the trip. But that won't stop him from getting to Bowling Green in the future.
"I never got to make it out there because of the wreck on the interstate. Traffic was crazy," Brown said. "I'll definitely reschedule (my trip to Western Kentucky)," he finished.
