Florida WR names top three

Kendrick Edwards is a talented wide receiver prospect from Miami Norland High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Kendrick Edwards put his name on the recruiting map early in his prep career at Hialeah High. He's now at Norland, where he's looking to take his game to another level as a senior.

"Lately I've been training, lifting weights, and running a lot trying to get faster," Edwards said. "I'm working hard in preparation for my senior season."

Edwards, 6-foot-5 and 180 pounds, is already collecting a lot of early recruiting interest.

"I recently received an offer from Louisville," he said. "I've been getting a lot of interest from other people too."

Louisville is a school that interests Edwards a lot, and he talked about that.

"I'd feel real comfortable going there because of their receivers and how much they like to throw the ball," he said. "I am very interested."

Despite his interest in them, Edwards lists three other schools when asked for his list of top choices right now.

"The ones I like most are USC, Georgia, and Arkansas," he said. "I grew up a USC fan because I've always loved them ever since I was little."

The talented receiver talked about what he's looking for in a school.

"I'm trying to get that full ride and the quarterback will be important in where I go," he said.
