"I don't have any offers yet, but a lot of schools are pretty close," said Kaaya. "It's really picked up so far in the last couple of weeks. Oregon State is the newest school I've been talking to, and I've been talking with Miami, Oklahoma State, Harvard, Utah and UCLA."
Kaaya attended USC's Junior day last month.
"I talked to Coach (Ed) Orgeron at USC and they're loaded with quarterbacks, so I'm not sure how serious they are," said Kaaya. "The Junior Day was good though, the facilities were really nice and everything they've built is awesome."
Stanford is a school that Kaaya has long wanted to play for.
"Stanford, that is one of my dream schools, so I'm definitely going to camp there," said Kaaya.
UCLA is also a school of great interest to Kaaya.
"I have a lot of interest in UCLA and I may go to their camp too this summer," said Kaaya.
In the meantime, Kaaya will take a couple of trips out-of-state in the spring.
"I'm planning to visit Miami this month and Oklahoma State next month," said Kaaya. "I'm definitely camping at Stanford, but I'll probably camp at some other schools that talk to me, like Oklahoma State."
Academically, Kaaya has a 3.7 and will be taking the SAT and ACT this spring.
On the year, Kaaya threw for 1,875 yards, 12 touchdowns and just two interceptions, leading the Eagles to a 12-2 record and a runner-up spot in the CIF-SS finals.
