Risner (6-4 285) says, "Arizona State just offered me. I talked to the new offensive line coach, he seems like a good guy. He said he wanted to reach out to me and I have an offer waiting from them."
Tulsa, Kansas State, New Mexico State, Missouri, Colorado State, Wyoming and Northern Colorado offered previously.
Scout.com Eval: I want to start by saying that this year is a tremendous year in the Southwest for offensive linemen but after watching Risner's film, his rivals anyone I have seen. The first thing that pops out on film about Risner is his nasty streak and motor. He plays through the echo of the whistle and finishes defenders on every play. When watching a highlight film, anyone can get fooled after a few plays but its hard to get fooled when in minute six of the film, a player is still pancaking DLs. Granted he is playing against a lower level of competition but he is doing exactly what he needs to do, dominating! Its not often that you see an offensive lineman run down on kickoff or make tackles on punt team, Risner does. Sure there are some flaws in his game; he false steps at time, could get better in pass pro. But the skill is there. Risner plays in a very small town in Colorado but I feel he is a BCS level player.
