"I'm waiting it out for now, seeing how things go," Bunting said. "Sometime this summer I'll narrow down the list."
"We were talking for a while, about the school and where they see me fitting in and talking about my family and my school," Bunting said, adding later, "I was really excited. I had a little extra jump in my step during the basketball game."
Oregon recruiting coordinator Jim Fisher has been the primary contact for Bunting, however he has been talking to tight ends coach Tom Osbourne and Helfrich on occasion.
"They like my athleticism, especially for my size," Bunting said. "Everyone knows they're a fast-paced team and they see me fitting in there as a tight end that they can flex out and throw the ball to. I can go in and block and then on the next play I can go up and get a touchdown in the corner of the end zone."
"I'm going to Oregon on the weekend of April 6th," Bunting said. "The weekend after that I'm going to Notre Dame."
Though he's being scouted as a tight end due his his big frame, Bunting is looking for a school that will use him as a target to throw to, not just as a blocker.
"I've been a wide receiver all my life and that's my game," Bunting said.
