Last month, the 6-foot, 205-pound sophomore running back picked up his first offer.
"I just recently got an offer from UNC," said Gallaspy. "I got it at one of their junior days. It was very exciting to get my first offer from a school I'm really interested in. Coach Fedora offered me and it really took the words out of my mouth. I really couldn't talk, but I was filled with excitement."
He also visited another in-state school.
"I also went to junior day at Duke and they showed me some interesting things," he said. "They told me that they are really interested in me and that they want me to come to one of their one-day camps this summer. They said they may offer me there, so I'm looking forward to going to camp and showing them my skills."
This summer will be a busy time for the Southern Guilford star.
It will be his third trip to one of those camps.
"This will be my third consecutive year going to Michigan's camp," said Gallaspy, who is originally from Michigan. "Last year, I actually got the top running back award. Hopefully, I can do really well there again."
Although it is early in the recruiting process, Gallaspy said he already has a top three of Michigan, North Carolina, and South Carolina. He also mentioned Tennesse and Ole Miss as schools of interest.
Gallaspy's main focus in on having a huge junior season.
"It's time for me to really step up my game and play 110 percent," he said.
Last season, Gallaspy ran for 1,757 yards and 20 touchdowns.
