2014 Intro: Citrus (Fla) DE

Steven Knowles is a talented defensive end prospect from Citrus High and he's a player to watch in the 2014 class.

Steven Knowles is coming off a very strong junior season, in which he put himself on the recruiting map.

At 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds, Knowles finished last season with 107 tackles, 36 for loss, 19.5 sacks, and four caused fumbles. He also blocked two kicks. He turned in a very strong performance at the Step It Up Camp earlier this month.

"It was a great experience," Knowles said of it. "I had a chance to get a lot of looks and there was a lot of good competition."

Knowles is a very good pass rusher with good athleticism, and he's a tough competitor. He talked about what separates him from others at his position.

"I'd say my explosiveness and my ability to rush on the edge," he said.

While Knowles doesn't have any scholarship offers yet, it's likely only a matter of time. He talked about some early leaders.

"I like UCF, USF, FSU, and Louisville," he said.

The talented defensive end prospect also talked about what he'll be looking for when choosing a school.

"Just the program, what they offer me, and the education I'll be able to get," he said.
