Player on the Rise

Goodyear (Az.) Desert Edge's Ismael Murphy-Richardson now sports five FBS offers

World, meet Mr. Ismael Murphy-Richardson.

The Goodyear (Ariz.) Desert Edge OLB/WR made a huge splash today announcing that he has received four new FBS scholarship offers.

Not completely unknown, FoxSportsNext has the 6-4 210 pounder ranked a 3-star OLB and he held a previous offer Washington, but Murphy-Richardson has not been getting the press he deserves, especially for a player that was named 1st team All-Arizona last year after making 49 tackles, 6.5 sacks and 2 INTs on defense to go along with 32 receptions, 747 yards and 11 scores on offense.

Florida and Michigan offered after UW, Arizona made their offer official on Wednesday morning and Arizona State offered Thursday after Murphy-Richardson attended their Spring ball practice.

Desert Edge head coach Rich Wellbrock comments, "Ismael is a special player and a good kid. We at Desert Edge and he is excited about these offers and new attention, just need to keep him grounded. He will be a great one before it is all said and done."

A 3-star prospect now, that could easily change as Murphy-Richardson has crazy good film. He is an athletic freak with the ability to line up and play almost any position on the field. His five offers today could turn into twenty before you know it.
