Three early standouts for Boone

Shawn Boone has offers in the double-digits and while he has no strong favorites, there are three programs that he's particularly interested in investigating. The 2014 safety is continuing to pick up new offers left and right and he's excited to have all of these programs after his skills. Get the latest on Boone right here.

Shawn Boone has offers from Ole Miss, Florida State, North Carolina State, West Virginia, Iowa State, Boston College, and more. The Dwyer (Palm Beach Gardens, FL) is clear that he intends to take the recruiting process slow.

"Not really," Boone said when asked if he has favorites, "but I kind of have interest in Ole Miss, NC State, and Florida State."

Boone hopes to visit all three of those programs this spring if he can. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound safety said there are things he likes about each program.

"Last year, Ole Miss had a great recruiting class and I feel if I were to go there I'd be able to play the first year," Boone said.

"(FSU), I'm pretty familiar with them, how they run their defense, and I'd be a great fit."

"They have a great coaching staff (at NC State), I'm cool with all their coaches and we have a great relationship."

The hard-hitting safety said coaches give him good feedback about his game when he talks to them.

"They love how hard I play, my hustle. Some coaches call me a trained assassin, the way I hit. They just like how I'm a playmaker," he said.

Boone is also getting interest from Georgia, Boise State, and Auburn. He expects to add more and more to his offer list through spring. FOX Sports NEXT will have the latest on Shawn Boone and his recruitment.
