Demetric Woodard Picks up SJSU Offer
To see a list of recent offers reportedly handed out on Saturday by the San Jose State staff, please visit the Inside Sparta Premium Message Board.
One name not on that list is Demetric Woodard, a talented defensive back from Long Beach Poly High school who already sports offers from Arizona State, San Diego State, and Houston. Yesterday, he picked up his fourth.
"2014 Long Beach Poly CB Demetric Woodard picked up a San Jose State offer at Jr. Day," his father, Demetric, Sr., said in a text to Inside Sparta. "He had a very positive conversation with defensive backs coach Dante Williams."
It seems that Williams and Woodard, Jr. hit it off, according to Sr.
"From that conversation, [my son] is extremely interested and SJSU is a viable of option."
It's still very early in the process for the 5-foot-10, 165-pound rising senior, so now decision has yet been made, according to his father.
"He's still keeping his options open for now."
