Monroe Talks TCU

FOX Sports NEXT has the update on Bush quarterback Ronald Monroe from Richmond, Texas. He talked briefly about the trip he took this past weekend.

He hasn't been able to make many trips, but when Richmond (TX) Bush quarterback Ronald Monroe makes one he looks to make it count. Especially when it means him going back to a program he has previously visited.

"I made my second trip to TCU. It was good viewing the campus and the facilities," Monroe said. "We (His brother and wide receiver Donald Monroe were both on campus) didn't get an offer. Coach (Gary) Patterson says he has to come see me throw and see my brother work out."

Despite not getting the offer, the 6-foot-4, 195-pound Monroe was still excited to be in Fort Worth, TX again. Right now, Houston is the only offer he has in hand, but has a number of other programs looking at him.

LSU, Northwestern, SMU and Texas Tech have been on the trail along the way. Now a couple of new schools have emerged and that started making contact.

"Boston College is interested and Wake Forest contacted me on Friday," Monroe said. "Both programs seem very interested."

This past season, Monroe threw for 1,932 yards and 22 touchdowns. He also had close to 300 yards and six touchdowns on the ground.
