Andre talks Cal Junior Day

Inglewood (Calif.) receiver Zaire Andre was one of several standout players who visited Cal over the weekend for the Bears Junior Day.

Zaire Andre has an early offer from Houston and is hearing from several other programs across the region as well. This past weekend, the receiver made the road trip north to Berkeley to check out California for Junior Day.

"It was real cool, I liked it a lot there," Andre said. "They have a nice campus and I got to meet the whole coaching staff. We did the campus tour, saw the football facilities and got to sit in on actual position meetings with the players before the spring game.

"I like the spread offense a lot and it was a lot of fun seeing Marshawn Lynch actually come out there on the field and score a touchdown. It was hilarious, he was in full pads and everything. I spent a lot of time with Coach Likens, the WR coach and he's a good dude. We didn't talk much about where I'm at on their board or if an offer is coming but I'm going to reach out to him and talk more about that."

Andre said he may camp with Cal in the summer in hopes of earning an offer.

"That's what they want me to do," Andre said. "They want me to come up and camp there but I'm not really sure yet. I'm just going to play it by ear and see what happens. I'm going to visit Arizona State this weekend and that's about all I have planned right now."
