Autry gives the latest

Although he has two full years of high school left, Albemarle (N.C.) defensive tackle Lee Autry has already put up huge numbers. The 2015 prospect gave FOX Sports Next an update about where he is in the recruiting process.

"I'm still waiting on my first offer, but I think (North) Carolina could be first," said Lee Autry.

The 6-foot-3, 280-pound defensive lineman recently visited Chapel Hill.

"I went to Carolina's junior day," said Autry. "It was a good visit. Coach (Larry) Fedora told me he was going to keep me in North Carolina."

Autry said he currently does not have any other visits scheduled.

He said he has had pretty consistent contact with a few other schools.

"I've also been hearing from Georgia, Florida State and LSU lately," he said. "I would like to hear from South Carolina and Auburn."

As for the summer, Autry will likely go to some camps.

"I'm probably going to camp at UNC-Charlotte, North Carolina and Mississippi State," he said.

This fall, Autry he wants to go to games at a few schools.

"I want to go to South Carolina and North Carolina," he said.

This season will be Autry's third year as a varsity starter and he knows a lot will be expected from him.

"I have to step up with the seniors because I've already been on the varsity for two years," said Autry. "I've got show the younger players how we do things and remind them that we have been knocked out in the third round of the playoffs the past two years."

Autry finished last season with 152 tackles and six sacks. In his first two years of high school football, he has a total of 282 tackles and 13 sacks.
