Two More for Springs

FOX Sports NEXT caught up with Roosevelt defensive back Arrion Springs to get the latest news in recruiting. A few changes have occurred in the past couple of weeks.

At the rate going now, San Antonio (TX) Roosevelt safety Arrion Springs may reach the 20-plus mark when it comes to offers.

In the latest FOX Sports NEXT update, Springs had made an unofficial visit to Texas where he was offered by coach Mack Brown. Now, in as many weeks since that happened, a couple more offers have come in for him.

"I picked up Clemson and Arizona (offers) since then," Springs informed FOX Sports NEXT.

By what he can recall, this makes 14 offers now for the 6-foot, 190-pound Springs. Oklahoma, Baylor, Vanderbilt, Missouri, Oregon State, Arizona State, Texas Tech and Houston are just some of the others that have offered him as well.

So far, the Big 12 Conference has gotten all of his visits with Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Texas and Texas are the destinations he has made it to. At this point in time, Springs does not have a clear-cut leader and is still deciding what his next move will be.

"I'm still debating what spring games to go to," Springs said.

Springs, who is known for his physical style of play, said that this is one of the main reasons that coaches are recruiting him. Last season recorded 63 tackles, four interceptions (one returned 102 yards for touchdown) and two fumble recoveries (one returned for touchdown).
