Booth picks up Bama offer
Alabama has extended offers to two wide receivers in the 2014 class that hail from the Hoosier state, Austin Rivers and Dominique Booth. Booth was offered by Alabama today on a visit to see the Tide during his spring break. "It [the offer] was very unexpected," Booth said. "I had to act like I had 'been there, done that,' [in Saban's office] as with any new twist in life. I just said thank you like I do for every other offer." "We [Booth and his father] were meeting with Coach (Nick) Saban in his office, and he let me know he really wants to come play for him, and I have a scholarship there," Booth said. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound wide receiver said the highlight of his day was seeing the facilities and talking with the strength and conditioning staff. "Their coaches can get you to your fullest potential," Booth said. "They know what they're doing at Alabama. The facilities are literally the best of everything I have ever seen." Though Booth says things could change after he sees eight schools in one week during his spring break, he named a top six last week before his visits kicked off. "My top schools are a little premature, but right now they are Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Florida State, West Virginia, Missouri, and Indiana." Booth previously said. However, asked if Alabama will make the final cut now that the Tide have offered, Booth responded, "Probably." Booth is nearing a decision date, and he hopes to commit to a school before this summer. "I've been going through this process since after my freshman year, and I've seen a lot of places multiples times. I feel like I'll be ready to decide after I take my visits this spring," Booth said. Booth visited Ole Miss March 28, Mississippi State the 29th, and he'll hit Florida State on April 2, Georgia on April 3, North Carolina State on April 4, Virginia Tech on April 5, and Tennessee on April 6.
