Ways Checks Out Buckeyes

Detroit Country Day (Mich.) junior wide receiver Maurice Ways recaps today's Ohio State visit and what the Buckeyes told him of their interest.

Ohio State hosted Maurice Ways today, a 6'4, 190-lb wide receiver with a handful of offers including Iowa and Kansas, and interest from Big Ten foes like Michigan, Michigan State and others.

"Ohio State was good," he reported. "I talked with Coach Meyer and he said the biggest thing for me is development. He thinks I'm a good player with high potential, but I need to get bigger and bulk up."

With basketball season finished, Ways can get in the weight room and do just that, with his eyes focused on showing the Buckeyes that progress later in the year.

"I'm going to camp in June and they'll be up to see me after spring practice during the evaluation period."

Ways also had a chance to see spring practice, and the player who stood out most to him should come as no surprise.

"Braxton Miller. He has a cannon of an arm."

The rest of Ways' offer list includes Ball State, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Toledo and Western Michigan.
