Johnson talks UVA offer

Mike Johnson now has eleven offers on his growing list after picking up one from Virginia Tuesday night. The 2014 cornerback of Countryside (Clearwater, FL) talks the latest right here.

Virginia, Florida State, South Florida, Louisville, Iowa State, Cincinnati, Vanderbilt and more have all offered Mike Johnson a scholarship. Virginia Defensive Line Coach Vincent Brown visited Johnson at school back in December, but they didn't speak again until a phone call Tuesday night.

"I talked to Coach Vincent Brown and he told me I had an offer," Johnson said.

"He said the DB coach liked me and the defensive coordinator likes me and they want me to come up there soon."

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound corner doesn't know too much about the UVA program yet, but what he does know, he likes.

"I just know that they're high on academics, that's mainly all (I know)," he said.

"I can see myself going there, going to a school like that."

Johnson said he will probably try to visit Virginia this summer. Right now, he isn't concerned with figuring out his recruitment, he's just letting the offers come in and going from there.

"By the end of the spring, I want to cut my list down to ten. Right now, everyone's open to me," Johnson said.
