Freeman was one of several recruits who made their way to TCU last Saturday to check out the Frogs last practice of the spring and catch some of the festivities at the Frog Fest.
"I was only there for the festival and I thought it was good," he said. "They invite me every chance they can to come up there."
"I only have my top three, that will be my final decision," Freeman said. "TCU, A&M and Texas are my final three."
Freeman mentioned what he likes about each program.
On TCU: "It's close to home, my old coach is there, Coach Patterson is pretty cool and Coach Cross talks to me a lot and he's pretty cool. He thinks I'm a great player."
On Texas A&M: "They're in the SEC, it's a tough conference. Coach Beaty is pretty funny and a good guy. I haven't had a chance to sit down with Coach Sumlin, he's always busy."
On Texas: "Mack Brown is pretty cool too. He let me in his office and let me hold the Heisman Trophy and I got to meet Vince Young. I got to sit in with the players when they were getting ready for the spring."
Freeman says he's been to TCU's campus at least five times since his recruitment started. And as mentioned earlier, the Frogs invite him up every chance they get. Once he does visit, Freeman says the coaching staff wastes little time explaining the impact he could make at linebacker for them.
"Every time I go over there they show me the depth chart," he said. "He said they need me bad. Playing time is a factor but I like working for it, I want to work."
With a decision possibly coming this spring, Freeman says he's still evaluating each of the three programs but one has started to make a push for the lead.
"I like Texas pretty hard right now," he said.
