Horton Addresses Commitment Talk

Driving back home after visiting Kentucky for their spring game found Ohio running back Mikel Horton surprised about talk of his commitment. We get the latest from the three-star running back about his Wildcats visit.

Spring break has allowed West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West running back Mikel Horton the chance to visit several college programs.

How have the visits gone for the 6-foot-1, 225-pound power back?

"The trips have gone very well and have been a great learning experience for me," said Horton. "They have definitely opened my mind up about my future. So the visits have been great."

This weekend found Horton making a return trip to Kentucky and talk soon started he'd given Kentucky his verbal pledge.

"My trip to Kentucky was great," said Horton. "I'm not committed to Kentucky right now, but I'm hoping to do something soon and there is a good chance Mike Edwards and I could look at announcing something together when the time comes. But that was not today."

Who else is Horton considering at this time for his future college home?

"Right now I'm looking at Kentucky, Florida State, Cincinnati and Louisville," said Horton.
