Memphis NFTC: Top Offensive Performers

Out of the close to 200 prospects in attendance Sunday at the Memphis Nike Football Training Camp, Scout takes a look at their top five offensive performers here...

It was a wide receiver out of the state of Tennessee who stole the show on the offensive side of the ball.

1. Josh Malone | 2014 WR | Station Camp (Tenn.)
There was not anything that Malone did not do at a very high level on Sunday. He was very smooth at wide receiver. He showed great body control, he caught everything within reach, and he showed great fluidity. He is a long and lean wideout with a bright future.

2. Roderick Taylor | 2014 OG | Callaway (Miss.)
Taylor did not win all his reps in the 1on1 sessions, but he went against Davon Godchaux, one of the top defensive linemen at this event four times. The two split when Taylor worked at tackle, but when he moved inside to guard, he dominated. He could play right tackle in a pinch, but he is best inside.

3. Sammie Epps | 2014 TE | Greenwood (Miss.)
Although Malone shined in Memphis Sunday, Epps made a name for himself too. He is a 6-foot-5, 220 pound big wide receiver that will be a real weapon at Ole Miss. He is physical and he was a receiver that eyes were drawn to all day. He caught the ball well, he moves very well for his size, and he is one who will see his stock rise on Scout.

4. J.C. Hassenauer | 2014 C | East Ridge (Minn.)
A true center is Hassenauer. He was consistent and strong in the final 1on1 session and that was impressive. He took on some top interior defensive linemen in the country and he won most battles. He showed a great base, good pure strength, and he locked his hands in very well.

5. Malik Dear | 2015 RB | Murrah (Miss.)
Dear checked in at 5-foot-10, 200 pounds and he turned a sub 4.5 second 40 yard dash. He has great strength in the upper-body and he was impressive when moving laterally. He has a nice jump-step and he accelerates quickly when he hits the ground.
