Okereke talks Boise State offer

Foothill (Calif.) Santa Ana athlete Bobby Okereke picked up his 5th scholarship offer on Wednesday from one of the top programs out West.

Bobby Okereke is a two-way player who is being recruited as a receiver, tight end, h-back and outside linebacker. He has good size at 6-1, 215 pounds and showed his athleticism at the SoCal NIKE Camp last month running a 4.68-40 (electronic), jumped 32 inches in the vertical and threw the power ball 37' and his 95.28 SPARQ Rating was one of the best in the camp.

Okereke has early offers from Nevada, San Diego State, Washington and Yale and landed No. 5 Wednesday.

"Boise State just offered me," Okereke said. "They offered me as an athlete right now, we really didn't discuss a specific position. I have a lot of interest in Boise State for sure, Coach Petersen is a great coach and the program he runs up there is pretty unique.

"I really want to get out there this summer for a visit to check out the campus but if not, I'll definitely take an official visit. I had a good talk with Coach Pete and really like him. I'm not sure what my summer plans are right now, I know I'm going to be busy and plan to head back east for some Ivy League visits. I have a few others in mind as well so it should be a fun time for me."

Okereke has already visited California and said he may visit Stanford, UCLA and USC for summer camps as well.
