"It's just those five schools," he said. "It's not in any particular order."
Dickerson added he is unsure if he will decide before his senior season or make official visits before making his decision. However, he said there is a commonality with each school.
"It's really the coaching," Dickerson said. "I'm really comfortable around them and the players." Dickerson offered his thoughts on each of his finalists:
Alabama: "It's a great program. They won two BCS national championships in a row. I spoke with coach (Nick) Saban (previously), and I enjoyed that."
"I visited there last year and had a great time, and really enjoyed that atmosphere and the coaches are great. The facilities are great as well."
Northwestern: "I went out there this past weekend and I got to sit down and meet their coaches. Coach (Pat) Fitzgerald is a great guy. I actually really like the campus out there and my brother also goes there, which is a plus. Where they're going is up, and I really like that."
Ohio State "I went out there last year and got to sit down with coach (Urban) Meyer and I really liked his philosophy and how he runs a team. I like their stadium and the facilities as well."
Stanford: "It's a great school. I enjoyed my visit out there. I had a great time. The coaches think I can come in and make an impact early. That is why they are on there."
