McCaffrey's top 11

With an offer list in the 20s, Christian McCaffrey has a soft top 11.

The nation's No. 13 running back in the 2014 class has a soft favorite list, reporting it to Big Red Report and FOX Sports NEXT on Monday afternoon.

"It's more like 11 schools," said Valor Christian (CO) standout Christian McCaffrey when asked about a possible top ten. "Stanford, Oregon, Washington, UCLA, Duke, Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Florida State, Nebraska and Wisconsin (in no particular order)."

In 2012, he was the Colorado Gatorade Player of the Year, racking up over 2,500 rushing yards and 42 touchdowns.

Previously he told Big Red Report that he's well aware of Nebraska's style of play.

"I know that Nebraska likes to run the football. That is a big positive to me," said the junior. "They are an excellent football team who has had a tremendous amount of success in the past. I think that the coaches I have spoken with from Nebraska have been extremely honest and nice to me which means a lot too as far as building a relationship. I am definitely excited about Nebraska."

Christian is the son of former NFL veteran Ed McCaffrey, and younger brother of Duke freshman Max McCaffrey.

Josh Harvey has covered college football and recruiting for Fox Sports & since 2008. He is now the Publisher of Big Red Report, covering Nebraska athletics.
