This past weekend, Green was on the campus of Mississippi State during the Bulldogs Super Bulldog Weekend.
"I had a good time at the spring game," said Green. "I enjoyed the game.
"They couldn't really blitz a lot. They just had to sit back and play defense, but they looked pretty good."
As a student of solid defense, Green made it a point to watch the Bulldog linebackers closely.
"I thought Matt Wells played real well and (Bernardrick) McKinney did too," said Green. "I was watching them and they played hard.
"On defense, they all run to the ball and I am sure they would be even more aggressive in a real game situation."
The Bulldogs are one of two programs setting the recruiting pace in the early going.
"Mississippi State and Ole Miss are recruiting me the hardest right now," said Green. "Both of them are showing me a lot of interest and I have a good relationship with the coaches at both schools.
"I don't feel like I just have a relationship with one guy on campus either.
"I feel like I know a few of the coaches at each school and they all seem to really want me to come there."
Green denies a favorite at this point and reports that his time frame for a decision is still rather fluid.
"I would like to make a decision before the season if I can, but I am not going to rush it," said Green. "If I can't find the right school for me before the season, then I am going to wait until after the season to decide.
"I want to be committed to my team this season, so I am not going to worry a lot with recruiting then.
"If I can't make a decision before we start playing, then I will just wait."
