New Jersey NFTC: Offensive Preview

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- There will be plenty of talent at the New York Jets' practice facility Sunday for the Nike Football Training Camp and FOX Sports NEXT takes a look some of the top offensive prospects expected.

Some of the northeast's top prospects will descend on the New York Jets' practice facility in northern New Jersey Sunday with the hopes of earning an invitation to The Opening, and also compete against some of the best players around at the Nike Football Training Camp.

Scout 300 member Chris Godwin, a receiver out of Middletown (Del.) High and a Penn State commit, and Scout 300 offensive tackle Quenton Nelson of Red Bank (N.J.) Catholic High are two of the marquee prospects set to attend the star-studded event.

The receiver corps is the strongest group, and it is led by Godwin.

Brooklyn (N.Y.) Erasmus Hall High's Curtis Samuel, who is being recruited heavily to play running back and safety, is set to compete at receiver. Adonis Jennings, who took home the receiver MVP at the NFTC last weekend in Washington, D.C., is also slated to attend.

Sparta (N.J.) Pope John XXIII High's Noah Brown, Philadelphia West Catholic High's Patrick Amara, Springfield (Pa.) Cardinal O'Hara High's Thadd Smith, a Boston College commit, and St. Joseph's-Montvale (N.J.) High's Quai Jefferson are set to attend.

Lake Braddock Secondary School (Burke, Va.) quarterback Caleb Henderson, who is committed to North Carolina, is scheduled to attend and Rochester (N.Y) East High's Justin Noye, who is being recruited as an athlete and holds several offers, will play quarterback.

There are some and talented younger quarterbacks slated to perform in Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep's Brandon Wimbush, Barnegat (N.J.) High's class of 2015 prospect Cinjun Erskine and Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic's class of 2016 prospect Jarrett Guarantano.

The running back contingent is led by Norwich (Conn.) Free Academy's Marcus Outlow, a Boston College commit, and Westville (N.J.) West Deptford four-star Gerald Owens. Harold Cooper of Hillhouse High (New Haven, Conn.) and Khalil Lewin of Erasmus Hall.

Roxbury (Mass.) Latin High's Kevin Cohee leads the tight end group.

Nelson is the top-rated offensive lineman and followed by a number of prospects looking to make a name. Included in the group are West Haven (Conn.) High's David Cinti, Dunmore (Pa.) High's James McHale, St. Joseph's-Montvale High's Austin Stapleton and West Long Branch (N.J.) Shore Regional Hig's Chris Okupski.
