6-foot-4, 265 pound offensive guard Zach Harmon is coming off of a great junior season. The Toledo Central Catholic (OH) junior has been gaining the attention for coaches across the Midwest and has been seeing offers come his way.
"Buffalo and Western Kentucky have offered me," said Harmon.
"The Buffalo offer wasn't really a surprise. Coach Pilkey was actually the first Division I coach that I had shown any interest in me last year. He's been in constant contact with me. He had said that they just move a little slower than some. He had mentioned it would be sometime after Spring practice. I was out there in February or March for a Junior Day and had a nice time. The coaches were very nice and answered all of my questions that I had. I'm looking forward to seeing their newer facilities that they are going to be building. I'll be getting back out there this summer to get a better feel on the program."
"With Western Kentucky, I know they are in the Sun Belt Conference right now but will be moving to Conference USA next year. Bobby Petrino is the Coach, which is a big time coach. The facilities look really nice. I have not visited them before, but I will before I make my decision. They want me to come to camp this summer. I like the area down there and the school has a good reputation. They are right in there with my other schools. I'm looking forward to meeting the coaching staff and getting to know them and the university better."
Harmon also holds offers from Akron, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Marshall, Miami (OH), Ohio, Old Dominion and Toledo. So how does it feel to see his offer list continue to grow?
"I'm sitting here watching out State Championship game against Trotwood-Madison and thinking how lucky I am. To think I would be in this position when I started playing football is very humbling. It's nice to have options on where I can go to school and get and education and play football."
