Hill adds his name to UW commit list

The Washington staff got some good news to start their weekend as Timberline (Boise, Id.) LB/DE Don Hill decided he didn't need to wait any longer and committed to the Huskies, becoming the third known commitment for the 2014 recruiting class...

"I've made my decision. I called coach (Steve) Sarkisian today and told him I wanted to commit (to Washington)," an excited and relieved Hill told Dawgman.com. "The opportunity to play there, the fact they are in the Pac 12, the education and the opportunity to play with some of those guys over there was just too good to pass up and then I was like 'why wait any longer if I know where I want to go?' so I called coach Sark and coach (Justin) Wilcox."

And what were their reactions?

"They were both really excited," Hill said. "They said they can't wait for me to get over there."

His is being recruited by Washington to play the "rush end" position in their defense where he can use his outstanding size and quickness.

As a this past season, Hill totaled nearly 80 tackles to go along with 10 sacks following up a solid sophomore season that saw him post 70 tackles and seven sacks.

Hill chose Washington over offers from Boise State, Idaho, Utah and Washington State.
