"Florida Atlantic has been recruiting me for a couple of months, but things really started to pick up this last week, which ultimately ended in an offer," said Simsheuser. "Coach Allen said that he wanted to extend me an offer to play for FAU and that he is excited about what I can bring to the table as a TE.
Simsheuser, who also has an offer from Idaho, and is a very good blocker as well as receiving prospect shared his thoughts on the new offer.
"I am honored to have a Division 1 program like Florida Atlantic be interested in me all the way in KC. I like everything I have heard and what I have seen. It looks like a place where I could fit in well and improve. I'm going to continue to work hard and focus on my upcoming senior season, but it's pretty cool when a college notices your hard work your hard work and decides to offer."
Besides Florida Atlantic and Idaho, multiple colleges are talking to and evaluating Jayke.
"I'm hearing from FAU, Idaho, Nebraska, Northern Illinois, Illinois, Akron, New Mexico, Mizzou, SEMO. I've met coaches from Iowa, Minnesota, Northwestern, and Missouri state at school in the last couple of weeks,"said Simsheuser.
He also has a busy summer planed with camps at Nebraska, Kansas, Northern Illinois, Illinois, and possibly Minnesota and Mizzou in the offing.
