Booker, 6-foot-3, 217-pounds, has unlimited potential as a speedy linebacker with the size to dominate football games. As expected, his recruitment has taken off.
"I'm thinking of going to Ohio State's camp with (teammate and Buckeye commit) Parris Campbell in June," Booker stated. "Not sure if I will work out or not, or just go to see the coaches and get a good feel of how they coach."
Booker has been to Notre Dame twice in 2013, and he admitted the Fighting Irish have moved up in his eyes. His most recent visit was for the Notre Dame spring game. In previous interviews, Booker had stated Ohio State was his clear leader.
"It was a good trip and I had a good time," Booker said of his recent visit to South Bend. "I got to check out Notre Dame, and see some of the differences between them and some of the other schools recruiting me. The coaches tell me how I fit into their system, and what type of player they see me as. It's close between the two (Ohio State and Notre Dame), but Ohio State leads, I guess."
When asked to name any other schools he is considering, Booker declined to mention anyone else.
"There might be some other schools I might want to see, but I'm not real sure right now," he explained. "I don't have any other visits planned right now, but you never know."
Booker also stated he is unsure of when he might be making his decision, and he has no set timetable for ending his recruitment.
"I have thought about committing, but I haven't decided on any specific date," he stressed. "It could be this summer, or I might wait longer. I'm just not sure."
