Florida Defensive End Adds Missouri Offer

This week, the Missouri Tigers extended a scholarship offer to a fast rising 2014 DE prospect from the state of Florida as they continue to expand their search for talent to add to their 2014 football recruiting class.

This week, the Missouri Tigers extended a scholarship offer to 2014 DE prospect Justus Reed 6’3” 220 Clearwater (FL) Central Catholic. Reed spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he talked about his Missouri offer, and he updated us on his recruitment.

“Missouri offered me a scholarship,” said Reed. “My coach said that Missouri had offered.”

Reed reports offers from Connecticut, Duke, Indiana, Louisville, Marshall, Miami, North Carolina, Northwestern, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, South Florida, UCF, Virginia, and West Virginia, among others, in addition to Missouri.

“I didn’t know anything about Missouri until they offered me,” said Reed. “I knew who they were, but I didn’t really know anything about Missouri.”

“I’m excited about every school that offers me,” explained Reed, who doesn’t plan to make a decision until this fall. “Every school is an option at this point. I’m not making a decision any time soon.”

Reed also plays basketball, and reportedly had 22 tackles-for-loss as a junior. He reported a 4.7 forty and a 34” vertical.

Reed would like to take some unofficial visits this summer, but he hasn’t made specific plans to do so. He said that he’d like to visit Missouri, but isn’t sure when he would do so. He said that he’d know more about summer visits by next month.
