More than a year ago, the Missouri Tigers extended a scholarship offer to 2014 LB prospect Vincent Jackson 6’3” 240 Tampa (FL) Jesuit. Recently, Jackson spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he talked about Missouri, as well as updated us on his recruitment.
“I haven’t seen the school yet, but it’s nice having a Missouri offer,” said Jackson. “I think Coach (Brian) Jones might be here this week.”
Jackson has an impressive offer list, including offers from Alabama, Auburn, Cincinnati, Duke, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Miami, Mississippi, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Purdue, Rutgers, South Florida, Syracuse, Tennessee, UCF, USC, Wake Forest, and West Virginia, among others, in addition to Missouri.
Jackson said that he needs to narrow things down. For now, he’s enjoying spring practice.
“I haven’t trimmed (my list of schools) down to even a top ten, yet,” explained Jackson, suggesting that’s something he needs to do this summer.
He said that schools are recruiting him to play inside and/or outside linebacker, and that some schools have talked about him playing H-back.
Jackson recently visited Alabama and Auburn, and he said that he does favor playing in the SEC. He said that he doesn’t have any visits planned at present.
“Transportation’s hard,” explained Jackson.
