Morgan Still Working

Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian cornerback Robert Morgan (5-10, 170), got his first two offers last week, a huge relief for him.

But Morgan isn't content now that he's got a couple in the mix.

"I got offered by New Mexico State and Montana State," said Morgan. "It's a big relief, but at the same time, I know I have to work hard and see if I can get more."

New Mexico State offered first and then the next morning, Montana State joined the fray.

"I had no idea either offer was coming because I hadn't heard from them," said Morgan. "Their first time talking to me was when they offered. My mom started crying, she was so excited. The burden isn't there anymore and I feel like I have a chance for a great education and to keep playing great football."

A number of other schools have come by Oaks in the past few weeks.

"We've had Colorado State, Idaho, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Utah and Washington all come by," said Morgan.

Morgan is also mapping out his camp plans.

"I think I am going to camp at UCLA for sure, Oregon State and San Jose State and then the USC camp possibly," said Morgan. "We'll have more schools coming by too so we'll see if I have some more camps to go to."

Morgan said the offer came as a corner, but that he's open to moving to safety if he grows into that.

"Preferably, I'd love to play corner, but any place a college needs me, that's what I'll be playing," said Morgan.
