Juco WR Up to Eight Offers

Mission Viejo (Calif.) Saddleback standout wide receiver Eric Lauderdale is now up to eight scholarship offers.

Eric Lauderdale is a talented wide receiver playing junior college football. He's originally from the Peach State but now finds himself out west in California playing for Saddlaback College in Mission Viejo.

Things started to heat up for Lauderdale right before the start of the May Evaluation period about six weeks ago. The Illini were the first to offer and since seven more have done so as well. Wisconsin, Arkansas, Houston, Kansas, Miami, Tennessee, and now Arizona State have all offered him. The Sun Devils were the latest team last week.

Lauderdale, 6-foot-2 and 195-pounds, believes Oregon is very close to offering him while Alabama just began to recruit him.

Lauderdale played his high school football at Fayetteville (Ga.) Fayette County High School. He will have three years to play two.
