Lone Oak defensive lineman Evan Sayner has continually seen his interest increase over the last couple of months. Sayner feels like his first offer could be around the corner.

The 6-foot-4, 255-pound defender picked up his first scholarship offer from FCS program, Austin Peay. But another school is considering making him an offer as well.

"Recruiting is going pretty good. I got an offer from Austin Peay and I'm pretty sure Western Kentucky is about to make me one too," Sayner said.

So what makes Sayner believe that the Hilltoppers are ready to pull the trigger?

"I've been talking with Coach (Mike) Cassity once or twice a week. He said that he wants to be my first D-1 offer. He said that he's going to go over my film again with Coach Petrino, "he continued.

Sayner, a western Kentucky kid, thinks highly of the WKU program after taking a Junior Day visit to Bowling Green.

"I absolutely love it there. I went to their Junior Day a couple months ago. I was just blown away at how nice their facilities are," he finished.
