Bezney Enjoyed Busy Day

The past couple of weeks have been busy ones for Ohio offensive lineman Jon Bezney. With four colleges visiting on Thursday, Bezney came away with a new offer and new interest.

For Jon Bezney the month of May has been an exciting one as college coaches have visited Mariemont High School at a record pace.

"Today was a big day," said Bezney. "First Michigan State came while I was in school and Coach (Harlon) Barnett is a great guy. Coach (Mark) Dantonio seems like an amazing guy. He liked my size and we talked for a little bit. He really, really, really wants me to come to camp and I'm pretty sure I'm going to do that."

While excited about the prospects of Michigan State, what followed later in the day really got Bezney really excited.

"Right after school Wake Forest offensive line coach Jim Himebauch came and saw the beginning of my lift," said Bezney. "I had a great lift today and Wake Forest offered me tonight.

"Then Coach (Mark) Smith of Michigan came and stayed for about an hour and then Coach (Mark) Elder from Tennessee saw me lift also. So I had all three coaches watching me lift. I really like Coach Elder a lot because I know him from his time at Cincinnati."

Bezney is not only talented on the field he's also a great student with a high grade point average and scored a 34 on his ACT.

Friday looks like it could be another busy day with a new visitor.

"Ohio State offensive line coach Ed Warinner is scheduled to visit school on Friday," said Bezney. "I'm not sure what interest they may have or if they are just looking to invite me to camp."
