Syracuse has had success grabbing defensive backfield talent out of Florida. In 2014, they have offered several such prospects. One of the most recent offers went out to South Dade Senior High (FL) cornerback Antwan Cordy.
"My coach told me they offered me," Cordy explained "I didn't even know about it at all. They told my coach that they love me and they want to see me up there in the orange and blue."
The talented cornerback doesn't know much about the Syracuse program yet. He says he continues to do research to learn about the program, the area, and the school.
"I don't know much about Syracuse yet," Cordy admitted. "But I will be doing some research on the school. I would like to visit though."
Visits will be critical for any school looking to land Cordy's services. He plans on visiting the Orange over the summer, but says that could wait until official visit season. Still, he has a few early favorites and Syracuse is one of them.
"Visits are going to be the most important," Cordy claimed. "I would love to take a visit and make my decision on the visit. Duke, Minnesota, Hawaii, Western Kentucky, Marshall, FAU and Syracuse have offered. I should be getting one from the Oregon Ducks and Florida really soon."
"I know Syracuse would be in my favorites. I can feel it. But Duke and Hawaii have been showing me a lot of love. Right now, Duke stands out because of that."
Cordy added that he would like to make his decision during his senior season.
