McCray Feels Offer is Coming

FOX Sports NEXT caught up with Cy Falls defensive back Tre'lan McCray, from Cypress, Texas, who is looking for some good news to occur this off season. Is he close?

Texas Tech, Navy, North Texas and Houston have all made stops down Highway 290 to check in on Houston (TX) Cy Falls defensive back Tre'lan McCray. And while the interest seems to be picking up heavily, McCray has not yet pulled in that first offer.

How close it No. 1?

"I feel as if Oklahoma State is the closest to offering. I've been pretty productive this spring," McCray said. "I'm excited to see all of these schools showing interest."

For 5-foot-9.5, 181-pound McCray, he feels, as though there is plenty of ground to make up after missing a substantial portion of last season due to injury. A versatile secondary player who could play cornerback or safety, McCray is more than prepared to play whatever position the program recruiting him requires.

So far Stillwater, OK has been the only visit he has made and the coaching staff with whom he has the closets relationship. Last season, in three games, McCray finished with 14 tackles and two pass deflections.
