Wilson Feeling Great About First BCS Offer

Detroit Country Day (Mich.) junior running back Richard Wilson's sixth offer was also his first from a BCS program. He talks more about it here.

Boston College offered Richard Wilson on Saturday, becoming the first BCS school to do so. The 5'11, 198-pound running back says it was something he has been patiently waiting for.

"I feel really good. I'm truly blessed to be able to get the offer. I've been waiting for a big offer to come. I feel really good about it. I'm proud coach saw me as up to their standards and decided to offer to me."

Wilson has not been to the campus, but says, "I'll visit some time in the next couple weeks with my parents. I plan on going soon."

That is when he hopes to learn much more about the program, but he has already started doing some research.

I do know a little about the school. I've talked to the coaches, and looked online and they're one of best academic schools. I have not had a chance to see them play on the football field, that's something I really want to do, but the school academically is up there, so that's really good."

Wilson says he will camp at Michigan State, Central Michigan and possibly Boston College before hopefully making a decision.

"I was planning on probably making it his summer. It just all depends on how I'm feeling about the school and how much I like it. I believe I'll probably commit before my season."

Wilson's other offers come from Ball State, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan and Eastern Illinois.
