Holland to decide early
Linebacker Jeffery Holland of Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian Academy is still an underclassman, but he received his 34th offer when Notre Dame offered last week. "Notre Dame is a traditional school that has a winning tradition," Holland said. "I wasn't expecting to pick up that offer, but I was excited when it came through." Holland said that Notre Dame offered him as an outside linebacker, though he can also play running back. "I tackle well and can go sideline to sideline quickly," Holland said. "I pride myself on getting to the quarterback and I had around 11 sacks last season. What I need to work on is my covering skills." At 6-foot-2, 230-pounds Holland also rushed for 750 yards on offense. With a dynamic game on both offense and defense, Holland boosts offers from programs like Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Ohio State, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Holland has already visited Florida and Florida State, and he's planning a huge summer of visits. "I am going to visit a lot of places this summer," Holland said. "I will go to schools in South Carolina and North Carolina and then go north from there. I really plan on hitting most all of the schools on my offer list, including Notre Dame." Holland says he plans to commit shortly after his summer tour. "Academics and coaching staff are going to be two primary factors in my decision," Holland said. "I would like to decide this summer. I want to commit and get it done."
