    Scouting Report

Ruffin is a prospect that can be moved around on the high school level because he is unselfish and a natural athlete that can help in many ways. He played both safety and corner in 2012 and helped his team reach the state championship game. He is always involved and that has always stood out when watching St. Pius X. He closes on the ball well, he identifies the ball quickly, and he likes to make plays. As a corner, he has great length, good quickness, and great ball skills. He is a physical player who is a strong tackler. He is better in coverage off the ball than he is on the ball right now. He can work on his back peddle and his reaction to the ball in the air. He is a very smart player who catches on to things quickly, he is very coachable, and he is one that has the 'It' factor on the football field. He just gets it, he puts in the time, and he is driven to be successful.
