After camping with Mississippi State Tuesday, Dublanko received some great news. He received an offer from Mississippi State.
"It was exciting to get my first SEC offer," said the talented youngster. "I feel very blessed. I told him thank you. And he said you are good enough of a player to play for us."
Dublanko talked about his Mississippi State camp experience.
"This is my first time here and I wasn't expecting this," he said. "It's really great. I really like the facilities here. (MSU linebacker) Coach (Geoff) Collins was great. I really liked the way he coached and the way he handled everything."
His camp performance was the final hurdle in getting his offer.
"(Coach Collins) liked everything I was doing (at the camp)," said Dublanko. "He liked my footwork in all the drills that we did. He liked my work when we were doing the one-on-ones."
The offer was his third.
"I have two (other) offers, Montana and Akron," said Dublanko. "I received the offer from Montana between my 8th and 9th grade years. Akron offered a month or two ago. I was very fortunate to received those offers."
If you are wondering how a player who is just coming out of his freshman season already has three offers, this is not your run-of-the-mill player.
"I was on the US National Team," said Dublanko. "I also started midseason for my high school team."
Dublanko is not sitting idly by waiting for offers. He is being proactive.
"I have been to camps at Tennessee, Georgia, obviously Mississippi State and Florida State," he said. "On the west coast I have been to the University of Washington, Washington State, Oregon State and UCLA."
While still early in the recruiting process, Dublanko leaves no doubt where he would like to play his college ball.
"I want to play in the SEC," he said matter of factly.
