"I got to see the facilities and the stadium and it's probably one of the better campuses I've seen so far," Patrick mentioned. "I was really impressed by what they showed me today. I was just here for a short time but it was long enough for me to really like it. It's very big and not like any other campus and I liked that about it."
The Timber Creek product has built up a solid connection with the Buckeyes' head coach. His relationship with Urban Meyer has Ohio State firmly in the race for his services.
"I talked to some of the coaches but mainly Coach Meyer was the one showing me the attention," Patrick told Scout. "He's the Ohio State coach that recruits me really and we have a real strong relationship. We just joke around and mess with each other. We had a back and forth discussion today over which one of us looked better. It was great to meet him in person because I probably talk to him every week on the phone."
Patrick had this to say when asked if his leaders were still Florida and Florida State following his first trip to Ohio State.
"I don't think I have leaders anymore," he stated. "I wouldn't say Ohio State is the top school but I don't have a clear-cut leader anymore after this visit. It was Florida and Florida State but I really just can't tell right now what school is at the top so I'll just take more visits in the next year and see what happens. Ohio State is up there though."
The 2015 running back has other visits planned for his trip through the Midwest and expects to be at Ohio State again in the fall.
"I'm going to be at Michigan and Michigan State the next couple of days," said Patrick. "I wanted to visit Notre Dame but I'm not sure that is going to work. I will be traveling up to Ohio State again for the Penn State game. They really want me to see a game and I'm going to make it happen. The Penn State game is a night game under the lights so it sounds like a good one to be at."
