Harrell Talks Southern Miss Camp

Southern Miss had a host of prospects on campus this afternoon on a hot afternoon in Hattiesburg. Andrew Harrell of Tallahassee talks about his time on campus and what the coaches had to say to him after it was over.

Andrew Harrell is a talented Offensive lineman who has huge potential at the next level.

At 6'5, 300lbs, he certainly has the size to by a legit D1 prospect.

He was on campus for the Southern Miss camp today, and he talked about the experience.

"We had a great day today, it was a lot of fun," the big lineman said.

"It was my first visit to campus, and I loved everything that we did. I took a tour and was able to see the locker room, weight room, and stadium. It was the nicest locker room I've seen at a college."

Harrell also had a great impression of the coaches.

"The coaches were energetic, and you knew they knew what they were talking about," he said. "Coach Arroyo has been by to visit me a few times, so I already knew him.

"I also was able to meet Coach Perot, and he taught me a lot, I felt like I really got better today."

Harrell said he was able to speak with the coaches after the camp.

"They told me they want to stay in touch," he said. "I didn't get an offer today, but they said they are going to continue to evaluate me and to keep working hard, that I have a chance.

"They said they will come by later in the summer, and also they want me to visit. Southern Miss is one of my top schools and options right now."

Harrell is heading up to Mississippi State tomorrow, then he's heading to South Florida a few days later.

We'll continue to follow up with camp today and the rest of the weekend, stay tuned.
