Another Quarterback Domino Falls
Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro quarterback Luke Rubenzer has been terrific all
spring, whether on the 7on7 circuit or the camp circuit.
After a great showing at the Columbus Elite 11 earlier this month, Rubenzer
landed an invitation to the Elite 11 Finals in Beaverton.
But that wasn't as big as the invitation he landed from California, just a
few days after he camped with the Golden Bears.
Rubenzer was offered by head coach Sonny Dykes and offensive coordinator Tony Franklin, and jumped right on it.
"I went to their camp last week and Coach Franklin has always liked me but he needed Coach Dykes to see me in person,"
Rubenzer told Jason Jewell of Scout.com. "Then on Tuesday, Coach Mohns (Saguaro head coach) and Coach Franklin talked and he asked if I would commit if I was offered."

teammates Budda Baker and Marcus Griffin earning invitations based off their
performances at the Oregon NFTC. Los Angeles (Calif.) Salesian linebacker
Jamardre Cobb, Fontana (Calif.) Summit receiver Erik Brown, El Cerrito (Calif.)
receiver Jalen Harvey and La Habra (Calif.) offensive lineman Toa Lobendahn were
also added. Kentfield (Calif.) Marin Catholic quarterback Morgan Mahalak
also landed a spot in the Elite 11 Finals and The Opening.
