Rapid Fire Recruiting

As the Dawg days of summer are upon us numerous recruits from around the country are working out for various college coaches in hopes to earn that elusive offer and continue to build relationships with potential future coaches. Scout.com caught up with 15 players for the latest.

Kalen McCain:

"As far as camps go I've only been to two. ECU&NC STATE but I only participated at state which was this past Sunday. Only place that I might check out is UNC since I've been to state numerous times. The staff that I've been in most contact with is State."

Tony James:

"I haven't been on any trips just yet but I plan on visiting Nebraska, Kentucky and Ohio State and Auburn and I dont know when yet and I stay in contact with Oregon and Ohio state and Auburn and Kentucky and a couple more."

Brandon Sandifer:

"I went to a camp at Tennessee on June 1st, then I go to an Alabama camp then we fly out to Ohio State for a camp on June 21, then a Georgia camp on July 12, then Kentucky camp on July 20."

Ty Storey:

"I've been to OU, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Arkansas, Oklahoma State so far we have had a great time with great coaches and they are all great programs! All those coaches stay in contact with my coach a lot and some more call but it has been pretty crazy here lately."

John Bonney:

"I've been to Baylor, LSU and Texas spring games and also I've been to Oklahoma, Texas and TCU's camps so far and plan to visit some schools this summer on the west coast. I am going to try and visit Ohio State as well. I've been in contact with all the schools that have offered me but plan to narrow the list down soon."

Taj Griffin:

"Well I haven't gone on any trips yet, but I'm going to Oregon soon, and FSU and Ohio state within the next few weeks."

Lamont Gaillard:

"I've been to Clemson and South Carolina. Both are great schools. I'm planning to go back to Georgia in early July. And of course they been coming at me the hardest that's why there above most as of now until someone else show me better. I talk to coach Lilly and Wilson the most and they been keeping me entertained."

Christian Bermudez:

"I went to dukes spring game last month and loved the place.. Next I plan to camp at Princeton Yale and Dartmouth over summer.. And my dad stays in contact with coach Collins at Duke and emails with Princeton and Yale."

Railond Garrett:

"I haven't took any yet, been working with my teammates building a little more chemistry before I do what I have to do for myself. I think I have one camp to go to its one of my coaches camp. So far I've just been focusing on leading my team down the right path more so then individual things like camps and early visits. The latest schools I talked to were coach Inge from Indiana university and Wisconsin, they were both talking about visits."

Johnnie Dixon:

"I've only been to Miami so far and I loved it in I'm in contact with Miami a lot North Carolina State, West Virginia, Wake Forest, Florida, Oregon and Notre Dame."

Mekhi Brown:

"I've been to Auburn camp, Miss State, At Clemson today, Tennessee tomorrow and UNC Friday. And Mostly Alabama."

Cameron Hampton:

"I haven't took any trips and really don't plan on it. I'm just getting prepared for the season and trying to keep my mind focused on getting better."

Jalen Manning:

"I have been to MTSU, Chattanooga and will be going to Vanderbilt and Louisville this weekend. I will be going to Tennessee, Western Kentucky and UT Martin also coming up. Following some more but not real sure on those just yet. Coaching staff wise still probably Louisville being the closest with."

Daniel Helm:

"Since the start of summer I've only been to the rivals 5 star challenge. I had a lot of fun at that. It was great being able to compete against a lot of the nation's best. I stay in contact with the Tennessee staff the most then probably the Ole Miss staff."

Rashawn Shaw:

"I plan on taking visits to my top schools including Louisville, Tennessee, North Carolina State, Georgia Tech, West Virginia, Mississippi State, Arkansas, USF and others. I have a strong connection with the Louisville staff and coach Strong is a great coach. I also have a strong connection with the North Carolina State, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Illinois, Michigan State, Duke and UCF. No camping at the moment besides my Army all American invite. I plan to take some unofficial visits to colleges to see what they have to offer academically and overall relationship with the staff's. I have 30 offers including South Carolina, Wake Forest, Arkansas, Boston College, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Duke FIU, FAU, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Indian, Iowa State, Louisville, LSU, Marshall, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Northern Illinois, Purdue, Rutgers, USF and Southern Miss."
