UF Camp Quotes

The Florida Gators had numerous top tier recruits visit over the last several days as the month of June continues. Players from the class of 2014, 2015 and even into 2016 stopped into the Swamp to check out the Gators. The Gators even managed to get a couple official visitor's in town as each give the latest.

Tyler Byrd:

"The campus is great and you get a good vibe when your around the coaching staff. I see a strong relationship growing with all the coaches. For the gators I could see myself playing on either side of the ball. The Florida Gators are my first offer and hopefully I can come back soon."

Garrett Williams:

"The vibe was exciting! The coaches are passionate about what they do and Florida football. I really enjoyed being coached by coach (Derek) Lewis at the tight end position. The campus is a great campus. It seemed big but very nice. The football facilities were nice as well! I really enjoyed being there and that was a big offer to get. I am an intense player and aggressive I love to hit. I play for Christ in everything I do. I feel like I bring that same defensive mentality on offense as well. I try to always play the game hard even when I'm tired."

Kwadarrius Smith:

"What's been going through my mind this weekend while I was at Florida was how I was going to be the best I could possibly be to impress the coaches. I was so excited to just be in the atmosphere! Great coaches and amazing fan base. I thought the swamp was amazing actually! Just the thought on game day when you have thousands of fans sitting there cheering you on gives me chills and makes me want to be a Gator! Coach Muschamp is an amazing guy! I got a chance to talk with him face to face with my brother Garrett (we are like family). He was just telling me how he loved the way I competed and that he was going to recruit me as an offered player. He told me if I performed we'll at Friday night lights we can possibly make something happen after that camp. Overall I thought the coaches were amazing! Great place to compete, and it feels like a family there! Coach Muschamp really listened to me and my challenges growing up as a kid. He was more interested in me as a person than a player! I like that about him. It was an awesome experience! Especially being there with my brother! And that he got offered! I was extremely happy for him! They told me you are definitely an offered player but they want to see me at Friday night lights with the big dogs. That's where all the players they are looking to offer are going to be. And if I kill everyone there then I will definitely get offered. I worked with both yesterday (WR/CB) and he told me I was by far the most athletic kid at this camp. I covered well and I created great separation! And that he can't replace 10.5 speed! He was excited that Garret and I were representing TFA well."

Davonte Lambert:

"I loved it very nice and energetic people to be around! The coaches are very great!!! The vibe was amazing. Hopefully (FNL Return Trip) and I got Tennessee next."

Abu Lamin:

"I really like Florida. Florida is amazing that should overall sum things up but the stadium is great the facilities are great the coaches are going to get you to where you want to go. Florida is nothing but a small NFL team they get you prepared for that next level and you are going to work to be great."
