This comes just two weeks following Moore and his family's trip to West Point for mini-camp June 1.
"I had a great camp for them and stayed in contact with the coaches. Tonight, they called and told me that I had an offer."
"Coach Spencer is who I have been in contact with most. He recruits Texas and is a great guy. He said they loved my highlights and liked my character and everything about me. They know how hard I work and how much I am committed to football and my academics."
I'm sure the 6-foot-1, 196-pounder's reported 4.47 40-yard dash, 3.95 pro agility shuttle, 37-inch vertical and 10-foot, 3-inch broad jump didn't hurt either.
Moore has camped with several others this summer- Air Force, Arkansas State, Kansas State, North Texas, UTSA and UTEP- and has put up similar numbers. He also impressed at the Dallas Elite 11 Quarterback Camp in April.
"I've been able to show my overall athleticism," Moore said. "I've actually been doing quarterback, receiver and safety at some of the camps and some schools really like me at safety because of my athleticism and size."
With this, and with the first in pocket, look for the offer ball to get rolling.
