FoxSportsNext has confirmed that Glendale (Az.) Community College defensive end Jerod Cody has received a new scholarship offer, bringing him to six overall.
Cody says, "Arizona offered me. It was huge to get an offer that big. I am excited!"
Cody (6-3 265) also has offers from Wyoming, Hawaii, Texas State, New Mexico and Texas Southern.
He continues, "I was able to talk with Coach Ragle, Coach K and Coach Rodriguez. They think I fit in well in their 3 man front defense as a defensive end and they think I could come in right away and play because they don't have a lot of depth on the d-line."
Cody was an all-state football player and thrower in track out of Centennial High School in Las Vegas. He will have three years to play two at the next level and will be ready to transfer at midyear next year.
