Spartans to Continue Looking at Brown

Ohio running back Bobby Brown recently camped with Michigan State hoping to earn an offer. Where does Brown currently stand with MSU? He gives Spartan Digest the latest update.

Michigan State was clearly looking for a running back last weekend when Bobby Brown traveled to East Lansing for the Spartans advanced camp.

Brown's recruiting coach; Harlon Barnett told the Middletown (Ohio) Lakota East running back prior to camp that he needed to post a solid forty if the 6-foot, 210-pound back expected to earn an early offer.

While Brown didn't post the forty he'd hoped for at MSU, Friday was another day and Brown busted off a solid 4.46 forty time at Ohio State camp.

"Michigan State told me they may still offer me," said Brown. "However, Coach Barnett said it wouldn't be until the middle of the season if it happened."

Brown understands why the Spartans are holding off on an offer.

"I didn't do so well at camp," explained Brown. "But I like the school and really like Coach Barnett."

There was nothing new for Brown to checkout while at camp as this was his second trip to campus having gone up for a game.

Is Brown willing to wait and see if the Spartans come through with an offer?

"I can wait," said Brown. "I'm planning on waiting until the end of my season to see what school is the best fit for me."

At this time Brown is not empty handed as he's been offered by Kent State and added Ohio University following Ohio State camp.
